Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Istanbul, followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight to Adıyaman. Upon arrival, our local guide will greet you at the airport and begin your full-day exploration of the region.
En route to Mount Nemrut, you’ll visit several historical landmarks, starting with the Karakus Tumulus (Black Bird Mound)—an ancient burial site from the Commagene Kingdom. Next, see the Cendere Roman Bridge, one of the world’s oldest still in use, and stop by the remains of Old Kahta Castle (Arsameia) and New Kahta Castle, rich with legends and panoramic views.
The highlight of the day is reaching the summit of Mount Nemrut, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the colossal statues of gods, eagles, and lions that flank the tomb of King Antiochus I. Don’t miss the ancient relief showing what is believed to be the earliest known handshake in history.

After enjoying an early breakfast at your hotel, we begin our journey through the historic heart of Southeastern Turkey. Our first stop is a scenic viewpoint overlooking the impressive Atatürk Dam, the third largest in the world. Take in the panoramic views and learn about this engineering marvel before we continue deeper into Mesopotamia.
Next, we arrive at Harran, one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world and the legendary home of the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim). Once an important hub along the ancient Silk Road, Harran is famous for its unique beehive-shaped mudbrick houses, which have stood the test of time for over 3,000 years. You’ll have plenty of time for photography and exploration, including a visit to the first Islamic university ever established.
We then travel to Göbekli Tepe, the world’s oldest known temple complex, dating back over 12,000 years—predating Stonehenge by millennia. This groundbreaking archaeological site is still under excavation and offers a rare glimpse into early human civilization, spirituality, and art. Enjoy a guided tour that reveals the mysteries of this sacred place, followed by time for photos.
Our final visit is to the sacred Pool of Abraham in the city of Sanlıurfa, believed to be where the Prophet Abraham was thrown into fire by King Nimrod—only for the fire to miraculously turn to water and the burning logs into sacred carp. This site holds great religious significance for both Muslims and Christians and is surrounded by tranquil gardens and historical architecture.
After a full day of exploration and cultural discovery, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel in Sanlıurfa for a well-deserved rest.
