10-Day Highlights of Turkey Tour

Day 1: ARRIVAL & AIRPORT TRANSFER

Welcome to Istanbul! Upon your arrival, our driver will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: ISTANBUL OLD CITY TOUR

Day3: GALLIPOLI TOUR

You will be picked up by your driver between 6:30-7:00 am and head towards Gallipoli. After a five-hour drive, you’ll arrive at Gallipoli to explore key historical sites, including the Dardanelles Memorials, Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, the ANZAC Commemorative Site, and the Respect to Mehmetcik Statue. Other highlights include the Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnstons Jolly (featuring Turkish and Allied trenches), the Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery, The Nek, and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. After a lunch break at a local restaurant, the tour ends with a ferry ride to Canakkale, followed by check-in and an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 4: TROY & PERGAMON TOUR

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will pick you up around 8:30-8:45 am for a visit to the ancient city of Troy. Here, you’ll explore the ruins of 10 cities layered atop one another, the iconic Trojan Horse, the Apollo Temple, ancient city walls, the Roman Theater, and the Greco-Roman Senate. Following the tour of Troy, you’ll continue on to Pergamum, home to one of the most significant libraries of antiquity and the renowned Altar of Zeus. A lunch break at a local restaurant is included. Afterward, you’ll head to Kusadasi or Selcuk for check-in and an overnight stay.

5 Days: PAMUKKALE TOUR

After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up around 7:30-8:00 am for a day trip to Pamukkale and Hierapolis. Pamukkale is famous for its natural hot springs and stunning travertine terraces formed by the cooling of mineral-rich waters, giving it the appearance of a “Cotton Castle” as named by the locals. You’ll also explore the ancient city of Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, historically renowned as a healing center for those seeking relief in their later years. For a unique experience, you can take a walk on the terraces or enjoy an optional swim in Cleopatra’s Pool. After a lunch break at a local restaurant, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Kusadasi for some free time and an overnight stay.

Day 6: EPHESUS TOUR

Immerse yourself in history today as you explore:

• Ephesus: Discover this remarkable ancient city, once the capital of Asia Minor and one of the most significant archaeological sites in the world.
• Temple of Artemis: Visit the ruins of this grand temple, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
• House of the Virgin Mary: Experience the serene atmosphere of this sacred site, believed to be the final home of Mary, mother of Jesus.

Day 7 : FLY TO CAPPADOCIA

Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be picked up by a driver and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia (either direct or with a layover in Istanbul, depending on the day). Upon arrival in Cappadocia, you’ll be greeted at the domestic terminal by an agent holding a sign with your name. After meeting the agent, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 8: CAPPADOCIA NORTH TOUR

• Devrent Valley: Begin by exploring the surreal landscape, famous for its whimsical fairy chimneys.
• Paşabağ (Monk’s Valley): Continue to this remarkable area, home to some of the region’s most intriguing mushroom-shaped rock formations.
• Avanos: Drive to this historic city, known for its pottery and scenic riverside views.
• Goreme Open-Air Museum: In the afternoon, discover ancient rock-cut churches and Christian settlements that have stood the test of time.
• Uchisar Castle: Conclude your day with a visit to this natural fortress, offering panoramic views of the region.

Day 9: CAPPADOCIA SOUTH TOUR

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on another full day exploring Cappadocia:

• Red Valley: Begin with a visit to Red Valley to see its stunning rock formations and explore rock-cut churches. Enjoy a 5 km hike through the scenic Güllüdere Valley.
• Çavuşin Village: Next, visit this historic village known for its unique houses and churches once occupied by Christian clergy.
• Pigeon Valley: Drive to Pigeon Valley, renowned for its ancient pigeon houses carved into the cliffs.
• Ozkonak Underground City: In the afternoon, explore this fascinating underground city where early Christians sought refuge.
